Inspiration
- Nift came about as a group project researching on more ways NFT can be better accessible and rewarding to the everyday individual.
What it does
NiFT is designed to provide a secure and transparent platform for creators to mint and sell their NFTs and for investors to discover and invest in promising NFT projects.
With NiFT, we aim to empower creators to showcase their unique creations and earn fair value for their work, while providing investors with a seamless way to discover and invest in the most promising NFT projects. Whether you are a creator or investor, NiFT offers an easy-to-use platform that ensures security and transparency.
Also, NiFT allows users on our platform to buy, sell and securely trade any of their NFTs. So, let us get started and explore the exciting world of NFTs together with NiFT. In this guide, we will walk you through the steps to use our application as an end user.
How we built it
We utilized the following frameworks and libraries:
- Next.js
- Wagmi
- Rainbowkit for wallet connection
- Spheron
- IPFS for displaying NFTs
- Tailwindcss
Our smart contract was deployed to the Mantle blockchain and our frontend was deployed via Spheron. We utilized IPFS to store our token and image metadata.
We used the Wagmi React hook to connect our wallet, configure the Mantle chain, and interact within the Mantle blockchain.
Challenges we ran into
- Verifying our smart contract on mantle was not achieved as it proved abortive.
- Hosting our dapp on Spheron was really hectic and strenuous
- Fetching and displaying images/NFT's from IPFS
Accomplishments that we're proud of
- Working together as a team unified and determined to meet our goal
What we learned
- Deploying to Mantle Blockchain
- Hosting our Dapp on Spheron
- Configuring the wallet to include the Mantle network
- In-depth abi integration
What's next for NiFT
