Inspiration
Every aspiring software developer needs a personal website. The inspiration for this project lies when we realized our team was terribly ill with first-year flu, and was a little too overwhelmed with MATH 145 (the hardest class ever. Source: Jerry Wang, Associate Professor at the University of Waterloo) homework.
What it does
It promotes my projects, my resume, and everything there is to know about the aspiring software developer, Nicole Go.
How we built it
This was originally built with Vite. I drew the assets with a pixel editor and designed everything in Canva. We then made use of Github pages to deploy the website.
Challenges we ran into
Responsivity was a huge difficulty, especially when you are working with pixel art and no CSS frameworks.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We successfully deployed a website.
What we learned
I learned how to design, plan, code, and deploy a website all from scratch!
What's next for nicolego.com
Definitely writing proper descriptions instead of using placeholders, drawing more assets, and implementing a responsive mobile version and maybe some cute mini-games.
