Inspiration:

We noticed that creators and entrepreneurs often struggle to find niche ideas that are both unique and profitable. Trend tools are either too broad or too complicated. We built NicheHound to simplify niche discovery into an intuitive, searchable experience—designed for creators, solopreneurs, and digital hustlers alike.

What It Does:

NicheHound is an AI-enhanced web/mobile app that helps users uncover untapped niche opportunities. It offers:

  • A searchable database of niche ideas
  • Category-based exploration (e.g., YouTube, Finance, E-commerce)
  • Trend score and competition indicators
  • A modern UI optimized for clarity and ease of use

How we built it:

We built NicheHound using [Bolt.new] focusing on:

  • Responsive design for web and mobile
  • Collections for niches and categories
  • Dynamic filtering using search input and category buttons
  • Clean, calming aesthetic based on our uploaded UI mockup and logo

Challenges We Ran Into:

  • Implementing smooth filtering without backend logic
  • Keeping the app useful while limiting scope for the MVP
  • Maintaining performance while loading many cards at once
