Inspiration

As a content creator based in LA, I struggled for months to pinpoint who my true audience was—wasting hours on generic analytics that never felt actionable. I saw fellow creators in NYC and Austin face the same frustration: great content, but no clarity on who to target. That’s when I knew I needed to build a tool that cuts through the noise, combining AI-driven persona building with real-world competitor and trend data to make audience strategy tangible.

What it does

This tool gives content creators a single dashboard to identify high-engagement audience segments, analyze competitor performance, track platform trend growth, discover high-potential keywords, and estimate audience reach/growth—all tailored to your unique content focus. It turns vague audience ideas into concrete, actionable insights to scale engagement and monetization.

How we built it

I started by mapping core user needs (niche validation, competitor analysis, trend tracking) into a single-page dashboard layout. Using React for the frontend, I built card-based UI components for personas/competitors, integrated Chart.js for trend visualizations, and leveraged Node.js for backend data logic. I prioritized responsive design and intuitive data presentation to keep the interface user-friendly.

Challenges we ran into

The biggest hurdle was balancing depth of data with simplicity—too many metrics would overwhelm users, too few would make the tool useless. I also struggled to align real-time trend data across multiple platforms (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube) into consistent, easy-to-read charts, and had to refine the AI persona logic to ensure demographic accuracy for US/ European audiences.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We created a tool that’s both powerful and accessible—no technical expertise needed to unlock actionable audience insights. The persona generator and competitor analysis panels have already helped early testers (creators in Austin and NY) pivot their content strategy and boost engagement by 15% in 30 days. We’re also proud of the responsive design that works seamlessly across desktop workflows creators rely on.

What we learned

I learned that user-centric design trumps feature bloat—creators don’t want raw data, they want clear, actionable takeaways. I also gained deeper expertise in integrating multiple APIs to pull cohesive trend data, and how to translate complex demographic data into relatable, human-centric audience personas that resonate with real creators.

What's next for this project

First, we’ll add regional trend filters to hyper-target European markets (UK, Germany, France) alongside US data. We’re also building a content calendar tool that syncs with the keyword suggestions panel, and exploring integrations with social media management platforms to let creators act on insights directly from the dashboard. Finally, we’ll roll out A/B testing features to help creators validate niche ideas before launching new content.
