Inspiration

Our inspiration came from our own communities, seeing what they lack, where they strive, and what they could improve. Us both being involved in our communities and being able to provide and attend such programs that not everyone has the luxury to do so.

What it does

It creates a sense of belonging to the masjid and creates almost a safe house for people that need it. but other than a place of worship it also allows people of different backgrgounds and different professions to come together and network, build connections, and help the community grow.

How we built it

We used Canva in order to build our pitch deck. To find statistics of problems we noticed in our communities and to find other existing problems we used various AI systems such as Gemini and ChatGPT to help find sources from the internet. We had the help of a Imam and a Mufti to guide is in our outline and structure for the initiative.

Challenges we ran into

There are many similar programs and events, but nothing had the focus that we did of tailoring to all ages and concetrated on local communities by using the masajid as beacons of coming together. Another issue we ran into was figuring out how we were going to implement this efficiently in our local communities.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We were able to not only curate programs for avid masjid goers, but for those who are new to the community, as well as people of different backgrounds and professions. Being able to bring everyone together and show how being at the masjid is a root cause for success and peace is what we are really proud of.

What we learned

We learned that we can effectively plan and implement programs into local masjid communities in order to truly help make the masjid a core part of everyones daily lives, as well as allow these attendees to not only come and learn and grow, but take these values and etiquette and apply them to their own workspaces and schools.

What's next for Nibrās

We want to attract renowned speakers and scholars, to bring more engagement from the community as well as outsiders, we want to continue and grow so that multiple masajid are implementing our program style and ideas to help make their masajid become the center of their respective communities.
