We’re building Nibbl, a pantry-aware, voice-first cooking agent. The insight is simple: recipe apps don’t fail because people can’t find recipes. They fail in the kitchen. It’s late, you’re hungry, you start cooking, and then you’re missing something or you need it faster, so the plan breaks.
We already tried to solve this with ChatGPT. We’d prompt ‘high protein, 20 minutes, these ingredients,’ and then we’d keep re-prompting as constraints changed. That back-and-forth is the pain, and it wastes time. Nibbl keeps your pantry, time, and goals as context from the start, recommends what to cook, and adapts live while you cook through voice. If you say, ‘I don’t have enough cream,’ it swaps a substitute you have and tells you the next step without you touching your phone.
