💡 Inspiration

Imagine an NGO tirelessly working to provide education to underprivileged children or disaster relief to communities in need. Now imagine them bogged down by endless paperwork—drafting agreements, managing donor relations, and screening recipient aid applications. Their time and energy, which should be spent saving lives and changing futures, is consumed by repetitive administrative tasks.

This is where NGOmate AI steps in. Inspired by the selfless efforts of NGOs worldwide, we asked ourselves:

  • What if we could eliminate the burden of paperwork? 
  • What if AI could help them focus solely on their mission?

That’s exactly why we built NGOmate AI. It’s not just a tool—it’s a game-changer for nonprofits worldwide. 🚀

👀 What it does?

NGOmate AI is a revolutionary platform that transforms how Non-profit organizations handle agreements and documentation. It provides:

  • One-click API integration for donor agreements and recipients' assistance requests
  • AI-powered document analysis to prioritize urgent cases (🟥 High | 🟧 Medium | 🟨 Low)
  • AI-Personalised email to the donors/recipients for deeper connections with NGO
  • Automated agreement generation with Docusign integration
  • Real-time tracking dashboard for seamless NGO management

💻 How we built it?

We architected NGOmate AI as a modern, scalable solution using:

  • FastAPI backend for robust API endpoints and async operations
  • Next.js frontend for a seamless user experience
  • Docusign APIs for document handling
  • LLMs for intelligent document analysis
  • GenAI for personalized engaging emails
  • MongoDB for flexible data storage
  • Google Cloud Storage for secure document management

🎯 Accomplishments that we're proud of

Our team achieved several significant milestones:

  • Developed a holistic solution covering the aspects of all the 3 themes!
  • Successfully integrated Docusign's API for seamless document handling
  • Solved this challenging problem (after surveying some NGOs) with end-to-end implementation codewise
  • Created an intuitive API that any NGO can integrate with minimal technical expertise
  • Developed an AI system that can accurately assess document priority and generate personalized emails for agreements
  • Most importantly, all of this was achieved in just the past week since we learned about the hackathon!

⚠️ Challenges We Overcame

Building a universal solution for diverse NGO needs presented significant hurdles:

  • Creating a generic yet customizable template system for different types of agreements
  • Ensuring secure document handling while maintaining ease of integration
  • Developing an AI model that could accurately assess document priority
  • Balancing automation with the need for human oversight in critical decisions

This hackathon taught us valuable lessons about:

  • The power of AI and Docusign infra in transforming traditional document workflows
