Inspiration

Have you ever struggle to understand teacher’s lecture in class? Well, You’re not alone. Most student in every part of the world felt the same way. According to GBC Education, 600 Million or more than two thirds of students in the world are feeling the same.

But what if you can have someone to help you to understand what are you studying, 24/7, and without judging you in the process? With the advancement of AI, we saw an opportunity where AI can be used to help students to learn anytime, anywhere, real-time.

What it does

Ngerti.In is an AI-powered learning platform designed to help students understand what they are learning, through interactive voice integration and real-time whiteboard explanations for students who are afraid to ask questions, struggle to understand class material, or can’t afford private tutoring. Ngerti.In offers an active and personal learning experience as if you had your own private tutor, available anytime. This is not passive video learning, it’s real dialogue, real understanding.

How we built it

Frontend: Next.js + TailwindCSS + ShadCN UI Backend: tRPC + Better-Auth + Stream video SDK + Inngest Database: PostgreSQL Neon + Drizzle ORM AI Layer: OpenAI API Whiteboard: Excalidraw
