Inspiration
- Using the power of the ethereum blockchain(Polygon Pos) to help make event planning and ticket verification easy and efficient.
- Learning and improving my skills as a smart contract developer
What it does
NFTick.io is an NFT marketplace for event tickets, where users can go to buy NFTicks(NFT tickets) to their favourite events, and where event planners can go to create events and sell tickets(NFTicks) to their created events all on the platform.
How we built it
- Platform frontend was built using the reactjs/nextjs library
- Smart contract was written in solidity
- smart contract was built using openZeppellin contract library for erc 1155 token standard
- smart contract was deployed to polygon mumbai testnet with hardhat
- Codebase is Github
Challenges we ran into
- Teammates bailed on me last minute, so I had to scrub together the frontend.
- Challenge with redeploying to vercel, due to a node module problem.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
- Finished work on smart contract.
- added all erc1155 functionality, events and rules.
- Tested out contract functionality with remix and hardhat
- Deployed smart contract to polygon mumbai testnet
- integrated ipfs-http-client to platform
What we learned
- I learnt that my frontend skills are still lacking, and I will need to make more improvements.
- Finding better teammates to work with
