I registered ideamachine.eth and ideamachine.lol for this. The centralized domain will just point to an http gateway for .eth. There's zero reason to do anything centralized. The centralized domain is a fallback while browsers catch up to how domains are used. ICANN has way too much power, and while they have been cautious in wielding that power, there is no guarantees for the future. The fact the same people also assign IPv4 blocks is downright scary. The biggest threat currently is hijacking a domain, something difficult on Ethereum if you pay your bill on time, but in the future it will be censorship as independent nations go through a period of consolidation.

I'm hanging out in the Chainlink world not because I think government is bad by design or evil, but because it can never be trusted. The good news is government can be vetted, verified, and validated. Chainlink is one mechanism in the scheme to hold governance schemes accountable. It's not just nation states we have to worry about. We can't trust anyone.
