Inspiration

We wanted to utilize the power of technology to bring awareness to and donate to social issues.

What it does

Users from all over the world can fill out a form and upload their photos to the website. The photo is then dynamically stored into the firestore database; then, the website pulls 28 unique images from the database that share a similar social justice issue theme, and place them together in a collage. Since this is a unique set of photos, the website sells it as an NFT, and will donate that money to the appropriate charity.

How we built it

We used react.js for the front end, firestore for the backend, and github for collaboration.

Challenges we ran into

We struggled to transport the react.js code to github, as there was a large number of files. Additionally, we also struggled with merge conflicts.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Our database works with minimal issues. Additionally, the UI is user-friendly and aesthetic.

What we learned

It is important to plan out a project and delegate tasks before beginning to work on it.

What's next for NFT

We will continue developing this, such that it is a secure website for financial transactions and hopefully publish it to the general public.
