Inspiration

I was inspired by the gap between everyday fitness apps and the specialized training that professional athletes, particularly NFL players, receive. While most platforms offer generic routines, very few deliver position-specific training that mirrors real combine prep, game demands, or injury prevention needs. With the rise of AI, I saw an opportunity to combine sports science and machine learning logic to create a smarter, more tailored football training experience.

What it does

NFL Elite Trainer is an AI-powered web app that generates position-specific football workouts based on player roles and goals (e.g., Strength, Speed). It simulates ML-based efficiency scoring using structured prompts to evaluate each workout’s intensity, variety, and relevance. Users receive a score and feedback that mimics performance analytics. The app also includes a static dashboard for the Quarterback position, showcasing mock training trends and where QBS need to measure themselves to a great workout efficiency level. A modern UI with a dark purple gradient and light/dark mode toggle enhances the experience.

How I built it

I built it using Bolt.new for the Bolt Hackathon. I designed a wireframe for my web app through figma.

Challenges I ran into

One major challenge was building a scoring system that felt intelligent enough to NFL athletes. I overcame this by designing prompts that simulate an ensemble of models. UI customization within Bolt was also limited, so I had to get creative with layout and styling to preserve the intended design and workflow.

Accomplishments that I am proud of

I am proud of how the workout logic aligns with real NFL positional training requirements. The generated feedback feels smart, relevant, and professional. I am also happy with the app’s UI, which combines responsive design with a clean visual aesthetic that fits the elite sports theme.

What I learned

I learned how to effectively simulate ML logic, how to build structured AI responses for real-world use cases, and how to design AI-first fitness tools. I also gained a better understanding of UI design principles for performance-focused platforms.

What's next for NFL Elite Trainer (AI Powered)

I plan to add user login and workout tracking, implement real NFL Data in through APIS. Future features may include training load management, and progress-based recommendations, moving closer to a full AI-powered coaching experience.
