Inspiration
Compliance testing is purely grunt work. The process involves the repetitive task of pouring through long documents to see if companies are the "right fit". We wanted to change that with Nexus.
What it does
Nexus automates compliance verification for both vendors and clients. Users upload key documents (SOC 2 reports, audit results, certifications, etc.) and our system analyzes them to check alignment with internal standards. It returns a clear compliance score, highlights weak points,
How we built it
We utilized Node.JS,Type script, and React to create the back end, while the front end done with Tailwind and Figma.
Challenges we ran into
We planned on implementing a chatbot into our website but due to technical limitations we could not fully complete it.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We're extremely proud of our UI and design.
What we learned
Through developing Nexus One, we learned how to build a secure and compliant fintech infrastructure using cloud technologies like AWS. We gained experience integrating tools such as Plaid and ComplyAdvantage to automate payments, KYC, and AML processes. We also learned the importance of combining strong backend systems with an intuitive React frontend to ensure transparency, scalability, and user trust.
What's next for Nexus
Next for Nexus One, the team will focus on expanding regulatory partnerships and enhancing automation within compliance workflows. We plan to integrate advanced AI-driven risk assessment tools to improve fraud detection and reporting accuracy. In parallel, we’ll begin onboarding pilot clients to gather feedback, refine the user experience, and prepare for a broader market launch.
