Inspiration

The inspiration behind Nexus Consensus came from the inefficiency in modern M&A (Mergers and Acquisitions) and B2B due diligence. We observed that compliance and risk assessment are often siloed, manual, and prone to human error. Our goal was to leverage the power of advanced AI agents to "democratize" legal intelligence, making enterprise-grade risk analysis accessible and instantaneous.

What it does

Nexus Consensus is an AI-driven B2B Intelligence platform that automates the entire diligence pipeline: Deal Intelligence: Real-time monitoring of B2B partners and deal stages. AI Risk Assessment: Intelligent analysis of contracts and financial documents. Legal AI Counsel: Grounded AI assistant featuring real-time web research via SerpApi. Automated Reporting: Secure generation and digital signing of reports using Doctavian.

How we built it

We utilized a robust, multi-layered architecture: AI Core: Google Gemini API for complex reasoning and risk scoring. Database: Firebase Firestore for real-time cloud persistence. Document Processing: Nutrient DWS for deterministic, auditable extraction. Security & Audit: Foxit Software protocols to prevent autonomous risk. Frontend: Tailwind CSS for a modern, responsive interface.

Challenges we ran into

API Rate Limits: Managing high-frequency AI calls required a custom "API Robustness Layer" to handle failover gracefully. Context Integrity: Ensuring AI responses were 100% grounded in provided documents, which we solved by integrating Nutrient DWS for structured data processing.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Built a production-ready system that automates the multi-day due diligence process into a few-click operation. Successfully integrated four distinct sponsor technologies into a single, cohesive workflow.

What we learned

We learned that the true power of AI in B2B does not lie in automation alone, but in deterministic auditing—ensuring that every AI decision is grounded in verifiable data.

What's next for Nexus Consensus

We plan to scale the platform to support multi-language contract analysis and integrate deeper blockchain-based verification for digital signatures to further enhance security.
