Nexus AI is an agentic AI platform designed to revolutionize civic grievance redressal in India. It enables citizens to report issues through photos, GPS location, and short descriptions, which are then processed by IBM's Granite Large Language Model to generate structured work tickets.
Key capabilities:

Built on IBM watsonx Orchestrate ADK, Nexus AI transforms unstructured civic noise into actionable intelligence that empowers authorities and benefits millions of citizens.
Inspiration
India’s cities are dynamic but often burdened with recurring civic challenges:
- The pothole that disrupts a daily commute
- The streetlight that flickers on a dark lane
- The overflowing drain during monsoon season
We noticed a disconnect: citizens could identify problems but lacked a direct channel, while municipal bodies struggled with unclear or delayed reports.
Our vision: a simple, direct system where a citizen snaps a picture, GPS handles the location, a quick note explains the issue, and the platform ensures it is understood, classified, and routed effectively.
What it does
Nexus AI replaces inefficient systems with a direct, structured grievance platform.
1. Direct, Structured Submission
- Photo: Visual evidence of the issue
- GPS Location: Automatically captured and precise
- Description: Short, citizen-written note
2. AI-Powered Analysis
- Text Processing: Extracts context, classifies the category (Roads, Sanitation, etc.)
- Location Processing: Validates GPS data and pins the issue accurately
3. Intelligent Routing & Prioritization
- Assigns urgency scores
- Creates structured work tickets with attached images
- Routes issues to the correct municipal department
4. Actionable Dashboard for Officials
- Prioritized list view of tickets
- Geo-spatial map view for hotspot visualization and planning
