🧠 Project History — Nexus AI
About the Project
Nexus AI was born from a deep motivation: the desire to change the current model based on the attention economy and transition to a real-results economy, enabled by artificial intelligence.
As a technology enthusiast, I firmly believe we are just beginning a new era. AI Agents represent not only a technical advancement, but a new way of interacting with knowledge, decision-making, and productivity. Nexus AI is my way of actively contributing to this transformation.
💡 Initial Idea (and Current Hackathon Demo)
It all started with a simple yet powerful idea:
What if an AI agent could analyze your recurring expenses from your bank account, identify underused subscriptions, and suggest ways to save money by canceling them or switching plans?
This financial decision-making agent became Nexus AI's first use case, demonstrating in real time how an AI not only informs but also executes useful actions with tangible impact. This demo is the foundation for everything that comes next.
⚙️ How I Built It
- I used bolt.new with a single strategic prompt that brought my idea to life.
- I used Supabase to manage authentication and databases.
- I integrated Stripe and real-time subscriptions to simulate the banking environment.
- I developed a modular architecture where agents can connect to the user profile, read subscriptions, and propose or execute changes.
- The financial agent demo was created as a functional template for future agents (executives, personal assistants, analysts).
🧰 Technology Stack
- Frontend: React
- Database: PostgreSQL (via Supabase)
- AI: OpenAI Agents + custom execution logic
- Integrations: Stripe API, potential future banks via Plaid
📚 What I Learned
- That AI becomes truly useful when it executes, not just suggests.
- That many users don't know what they are paying monthly — and this type of agent can directly impact personal finances.
- That building on a real need — such as saving money — opens the door to faster adoption of complex tools like AI agents.
🧱 Challenges Faced
- It was complex to simulate financial transactions without a real bank connection, but I solved this with the help of bolt.new and realistic logic.
- On the UX side, another challenge was to show that the user stays in control, even if an agent is making decisions on their behalf.
This will continue to be a challenge — but also an opportunity.
🔮 What’s Next?
This demo is just the beginning. Nexus AI aims to expand into other sectors:
- Agents for doctors, lawyers, developers, investors, or entrepreneurs
- Visual dashboards where each user can launch agents by task, role, or need
- A real-time execution platform for high-impact decisions
Nexus AI is not just an idea — it’s the starting point for executing the future.
