Inspiration

Cold job applications are time consuming and has a very small return rate. Our aim is to be a one stop platform for job hunting during this tough journey.

What it does

Scrapes web realtime for job postings so that you dont miss out on any opportunity Score based vector search based on your profile and job preference so that you dont waste your time going through and applying for jobs that aren't a good fit.

How we built it

We used LLama 2 for chat bot hosted via Together.ai, and utilize semantic search powered by MongoDB Atlas to give job recommendations to the user.

Challenges we ran into

It's difficult to build an end to end LLM application, specifically making LLM to take a decision based on user conversation.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Getting vector search to give out fine tuned to give good responses.

What we learned

Prompting plays a large role in how a model performs.

What's next for NextJob.ai

Further fine tune the chat bot and add more features.
