Inspiration

Personally, when I feel less confident in taking a risk, such as applying to a job, I try to remember positive moments when I took a risk. Therefore, this inspired us to create the diary and journal entry portion of NextHire's platform, where users can be reminded to positive moments in their lives to boost their self-confidence before applying

What it does

NextHire is both a Chrome extension and an online platform. The extension supports users right in the flow of their job search. And the platform helps them reflect, grow, and stay motivated.

How we built it

We used NextJS for our website, and html and css for the chrome extension.

Challenges we ran into

We had issues connecting the recordings between the recording page and the diary page. We also had issues with the confidence slider and how we wanted to design it.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are really proud of the voice saving diary capabilities and the resume scanner.

What's Next for NextHire

Provide users with more personalized career and resume advice. Also, highlight portions on the resume to improve.
