Inspiration

In the current cargo and mail transportation, how to judge the priority of cargo is mainly based on the judgment of cargo attributes, service product, etc. This may not lead to favorable financial result especially in case of tight capacity or flight irregularity. Those goods that can bring higher gross profit to airlines may not be transported first due to the fact that the handling team cannot recognize such items. We believe that when determining the priority of cargo transportation, we should not only consider the physical attributes of the goods, but should also consider if the goods brings higher gross profit. We believeOne Record do much more in integration of business and finance，which aims to improve airlines’ profitability, reduce cost, manage risks and to make wise decision efficiently.

What it does

We propose an AI powered solution tuned with accounting expertise to solve the above stated problem. The solution aims to improve flight revenue and avoid or reduce economic losses. It leverages artificial intelligence technology, accounting knowledge and IATA One Record data sharing standards, using AILM prompt word technology to provide intelligent shipping suggestions to cargo handling personnel, in order to improve flight profitability.

How we built it

There are three steps: - Get the data from relevant One Record data model via One Record API - Process the data in our AI powered processing engine - Output visualized loading advice to the user

Accomplishments that we're proud of

- We explored the possibility to use One Record in cross-functional scenario within a company. This shows that 1R can be used not only for data sharing externally but also internally. 
- We trained AGLM to consider the gross profit of cargo when suggesting the priority of loading.

What's next for Next-gen Air Cargo Loading Solution Tuned With Accounting

- Import user roles into this solution which was not done in this demo due to time constraints.
- To build a mobile app which might be more suitable for real work scenario
- Built in with IOT devices, using One Record IOT parts.
- To train a specific AGLM to adjust air cargo transportation, remove redundant functions or parameters.
