Inspiration

We were inspired by our own need to understand retirement planning. It is difficult to balance income, savings, expenses, and goals without a clear roadmap.

What it does

Next Chapter is an AI agent that builds a personalized retirement plan. It takes in financial data and goals, runs simulations, and gives clear advice with simple visuals.

How we built it

We combined a Python financial modeling engine with an AI planning agent. The frontend is a React dashboard with charts and projections. APIs provide real-time data for accuracy.

Challenges we ran into

It was hard to simplify hundreds of variables into a tool people can actually use. We also had to make projections accurate but easy to explain.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We created a system that adapts in real time and explains complex financial choices in plain language. The visuals make retirement outcomes easy to understand.

What we learned

Retirement planning is personal. People want clarity more than complexity. AI agents can bridge technical finance models and everyday decision-making.

What’s next for Next Chapter

We will integrate with finance apps, add family planning, and expand beyond retirement into full financial life planning.
