Inspiration
We were inspired to create NexaFund by looking at places where people's needs are met by the community around them like Gofundme but we believed that it could be taken one step further where nothing tragic has to happen for their to be a change in someone's life . We wanted to help people with dreams and projects that mean something to them and community that will be thee to support them and not just with money but with experience and mentorship along the way.
What it does
We create customizable white-labeled platforms that allow community members and business to highlight and mentor scholars who are doing big things in their respective fields as well as show off business who are intentional about making a community impact.
How we built it
The database we used is Supabase and we coded it using Vscode & JavaScript.
Challenges we ran into
We ran into many business oriented challenges such as how we wanted to standout as a business where there are others doing the same kind of service. As well as catering our idea to others business and figuring out how we can attract them to the platform to support the students.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Being able to take out idea and make it a real website
What we learned
Not everything is coding focused because once the service is established and the website is built you have to understand the story you want to tell and the value you bring to the industry you are in. We now understand that the implementation is just as important as the creation.
