NewsChain emerged from my desire to restore trust and transparency in the news I consume daily. In an era where misinformation can spread rapidly, I aimed to create a platform that not only aggregates news from reliable sources like NewsAPI.org but also ensures the integrity and authenticity of information using blockchain technology.

The journey of building NewsChain was a challenge for me and inspired me in many ways. As a novice in blockchain development, I immersed myself in the world of blockchain and smart contracts, using Solidity for developing my smart contracts. Integrating Chainlink functions allowed me to securely connect my smart contracts with off-chain news data, providing a reliable and censorship-resistant news aggregation platform.

One of the main challenges I faced was ensuring the smooth and secure migration of my smart contract to the Mumbai test network. This process involved compiling the contract with Truffle, deploying it, and then meticulously linking the deployed contract address in the environment settings.

Throughout this journey, I learned the intricacies of smart contract development, the importance of blockchain in ensuring data integrity, and the power of community in the open-source ecosystem.
