What it does
Identifies bias and positive/negative sentiment a news report and finds out who's talking about it and which part of the world they are in. Also, identifies fake news sites.
How we built it
Caffeine/flask/twitter/google maps/chrome
Challenges we ran into
Losing 2 ill team members at the beginning to become a 2 man team. Half of us being medics and thus programatically challenged. Learning to use new technologies.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Implementing python REST API. Making an MVP.
What we learned
90% of what we did was new to us - Chrome extensions, web services ect.
