Inspiration

In today’s fast-paced digital world, people are constantly surrounded by news — yet few have the time or focus to read lengthy articles. Many skip important updates simply because they’re too long or technical. We wanted to bridge this gap by transforming traditional news into short, story-like summaries that feel natural, engaging, and human. That idea became News To Story Converter — an AI-powered app that turns any news article into a narrative-style story using Google Gemini prompt API.

What it does

News to Story Converter transforms long and complex news articles into short, engaging, and human-like story summaries using Google Gemini Prompt API. The user simply pastes a news link or paragraph, and the AI instantly converts it into a simplified story. The result is a clear, concise, and emotionally resonant version of the original news — perfect for quick understanding and daily consumption.

How we built it

We built the frontend using HTML, react and CSS to create a clean, responsive, and user-friendly interface. The backend was developed in NodeJS,ExpressJS which connects with the Google Gemini Prompt API for text comprehension and story generation. The app was deployed using Versel and Render, ensuring fast, scalable access.
