Registered Domain

For the domain category, we've registered cityin.space. We hope to use that domain to redirect users to our GitHub so they can obtain the source code to further enhance our project or customize for their own use. We wanted to have a "city" where developers can also upload their versions of our project

Inspiration

There is a steady decline in the trust between news consumers and news sources in recent years, this is a small step towards rebuilding it Here is the link to all the background research for this hack

How did we build it

We used javascript and HTML to build a chrome extension to tag news stories and opinion pieces for Washington Post articles on Google search

Challenge

This was the first hackathon for all of us, we have never build a chrome extension before. While we developed the front end for the project, we had a lot of trouble with web scraping the google search website and hope to continue debugging after the hackathon.
