Inspiration
I always face problem about which news to read and if it is not neutral and this became the reason to develop it.
What it does
It helps to identify the bias and score it between 1 to 100 with 100 being the most biased. It also analyze the type of manipulation technique. we can just paste the URL of the news or text of it and it will do the rest of the work.
How we built it
We got the idea and took help from Gemini to create it.
Challenges we ran into
We were not able to access some URL so we introduced the text analyze feature.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
It works well enough to save us from bias.
What we learned
When we run into problem we need to think of a solution not run from it.
What's next for News shield
We are thinking about adding a feature so that it can be attached to website and score it in corner thus erasing the need to copy text or URL
