Inspiration
We might doubt if the news we heared daily is actually legit or fake. What can we know if an information is credible and trustfull? Moreover, can we know the main point of the news we saw on the Internet or TV?
What it does
News Explain-o-Matic is a website that you can type your curiosity about something that happening and it will explain the main point to you and also provide some credible citations that boost the confidence of the information you concert about is legit
How we built it
I built this project using HTML/CSS, FastAPI, Sonar API
Challenges we ran into
There are some challenges I faces when testing the response is the format that I want to show in the website, the friendly UI, and debugging for Sonar API calls
Accomplishments that we're proud of
The website looks great and very easy for people to use and try it out. The response is formatted well and the information it provides makes it even better
What we learned
We learned some tips to work with Sonar API, especially the format of the output which takes me lots of time to figure out the way to format it better in the frontend. Sonar API provides some incredible models which is powerfull in resource citations and credible information
What's next for News Explains-o-Matic
Next step for this project is to make it user base, we want everyone can try it out and maybe have it comes up in mind when you curious about something. Moreover, we want to add the voice features or voice agent similar to Siri but with news
