Inspiration

The inspiration behind the project was to build something related to blockchain since we started learning about the blockchain during the hackathon. We were inspired a lot by the concepts of blockchain in a seminar conducted in our college. We thought to build a system based on Ethereum that would handle the real-world transactions in blockchain that is not secure at all in current systems. For instance, what we experience in today's banking systems, we were trying to build that as an open-source for all other industries.

How we built it

So basically the technologies required to build these were Postman, Python, Flask, Solidity, Truffle, MetaMask, Rinkyby Network, and much more. Our plan was to build something cool and exciting that we could showcase as an application that any industry could use. But our idea got in vain due to some constraints.

Challenges we ran into

Being beginners with blockchain and only one of our teammates Divyesh had some minor building experience, our idea that we wanted to implement was not able to complete fully. We tried over 2-3 projects and tried fixing bugs day and night but it opened new bugs which made the whole team a bit frustrated but then we thought whatever is working fine should be submitted. So basically our submission includes the two projects we were working on and are not running properly. The thing we have submitted now is the transaction model that we were to include and embed in our solution along with our own cryptocurrency using the concepts of Blockchain, Python, Flask, and Postman. We gave our heart and soul to fix bugs but that's what we could do in end. We will definitely try to build this further in future hackathons.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud of completing at least the crux part of our major project in this hackathon. We learned a lot related to Blockchain technology and Postman. We completed two courses related to Blockchain. Moreover, we learned Solidity, Truffle, MetaMask and many more technologies. Ideas were big and we will definitely work on them and will keep working!!

What's next for NEW_CHAIN

NEW_CHAIN is not over yet. Since we have not implemented it fully, We are learning deeper into concepts of Blockchain and will be back with a blast in NEW_CHAIN
