While we love to play games, most games are not immersive to the user. With NeverWing, we plan to bring the game to the user by adding gyroscopic technology to allow the user to control their player with a motion sensor. They will be using the motion sensor to battle another player in real time in an exhilarating 1 versus 1 duel.
What it does
NeverWing is a 1v1 fairy themed battle game, where two player juke it out by using gyroscopic controllers and joysticks to fire at the other fairy
How we built it
We used a combination of arduino (with its gyroscopic libraries) as well python and pygame to create the game.
Challenges we ran into
The biggest overall challenge was sending the information from the arduino chips/ arduino IDE, to the pygame program.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We managed to get two arduinos running simultaneously on the same computer and have both arduinos sent input to the program.
What we learned
We learned about how to use arduino in conjunction with python, as well as the MPU6050 library in arduino.
What's next for NeverWing
We plan to introduce many more power ups to the game as well as decrease the latency of the user inputs in the future.
