Inspiration

Just having the tech available makes you want to use it, yknow? Plus, lie detecting is always interesting for many reasons.

What it does

In theory, this project should be able to be used with any 8 channel Cyton board with an OpenBCI product. By going through the program, we'll monitor what your P300 wave is reacting to and response with how likely it is you were lying.

How we built it

Using an OpenBCI headset and a Cyton board, we could interface directly with the EEG brain cap. Using that data, we can go through a small experiment coded in python.

Challenges we ran into

Unfortunately, we could not finish this project on time. There were several factors, including other assignments that need to be done, real world interruptions, and being unable to access the hardware required at a very unfortunate time.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Actually using an EEG to measure brain activity! The tech was just lying around, so we finally used it for something cool! Also, this was our first venture as a group in coding and designing, which to us felt important.
