Inspiration

We hope to help people learn more about their cognitive skills and improve their short-term memory, processing speed, and spatial awareness through our collection of cat-themed minigames. We were inspired by RUHacks's general "arcade" and "cat" themes, as well as the neurotech track that aims to help people with cognitive issues improve their functioning across a variety of skills.

What it does

Our website provides a cognitive test with 3 assessment games to measure the user's processing speed, short-term memory, and spatial awareness, as well as versions of these games to play on their own to improve the user's skills.

How we built it

We created each game (Meowmory, Find the Treat, and Catch the Laser) in JavaScript and wrote the website layout using HTML/CSS from designs created in Figma.

Challenges we ran into

We had difficulties converting the Figma design for the website into usable, properly-sized HTML/CSS code, as well as coding the 3 games.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We were able to integrate 3 minigames into one project and give quantitative results!

What we learned

We learned how to use Figma and integrate our workflow. We improved on our HTML, CSS, and JS skills as well!

What's next for NeuroNeko

In the future, we hope to include accounts and progress tracking. We hope to incorporate a point system in which you gain points for performing well on the minigames, as well as a shop to use those points to purchase treats for cats that you could interact with on the homepage.
