Inspiration
The inspiration for creating Neuri came from a deeply personal experience. Just days before this competition started, my daughter was diagnosed with epilepsy. Faced with the overwhelming emotions and the urgent need to support her, I decided to build a tool that could help her – and children like her – navigate their daily lives with more confidence and care.
I wanted Neuri to be more than just a clinical or cold solution. My goal was to create something warm and supportive, a companion that families could rely on to track health, emotions, and treatment in a way that feels human, empathetic, and approachable.
What it does
Neuri is a digital diary designed to help families track the daily health and emotional well-being of children with epilepsy. It allows parents to log seizures, medications, moods, and other important details in a simple and intuitive way. Neuri also provides reminders for medication schedules, generates easy-to-understand reports for doctors, and tries to identify patterns that could help improve treatment and quality of life. Above all, Neuri is built to offer a warm, supportive experience rather than a cold medical record, empowering families to feel more in control and connected.
How we built it
It was built entirely using bolt.new and its core features.
Challenges we ran into
One of the main challenges I encountered was making sure that Bolt, truly understood what I wanted to achieve. This often meant that I had to carefully craft and refine the prompts so the AI could generate the features and flows needed.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
My daughter was the first user, and she is really happy that out of all the apps that exist, one is made for her (and others like her) to help her go through it all.
What we learned
While building Neuri, I learned how important it is to put ourselves in the shoes of families going through tough times. I realized that tech alone isn’t enough — it needs to feel human and caring to make a difference. The industry always says that in order to succeed, you need to solve a problem, and I think with Neuri, I'm helping solve my biggest one yet.
What's next for Neuri
Next, I’m planning to build a mobile app so families can use Neuri on their phones anytime, anywhere. I also want to add an AI component that can recognize patterns in the data and help parents and doctors spot important changes sooner, making care even more proactive and personalized.
