Inspiration

I'm Pratyush Mahadevaiah, a freshman in high school, and I decided to build NeuraWallet under unique inspiration. I was on the internet, searching for a digital wallet software application I could use, as I was learning how to get started investing as a teenager! However, when I dug further into my search, I started to worry about my money's safety. I wondered how current apps in the market were dealing with the rise of AI and AI-infused cyber attacks. It got me thinking about starting my own initiative of a digital finance hub that directly combated these cyber-attacks by using AI to detect user behavior and question every suspicious activity, however minute it could be. I wanted to create a software application that could keep my finances safe and ensure that only I could access and interact with them.

What it does

My solution to cyber-attacks in the field of digital finance is a revolutionary digital security platform that combines adaptive biometrics and intuitive financial management. Unlike conventional solutions, NeuraWallet doesn't just authenticate; it evolves with you. With adaptive biometrics, it captures and analyzes your unique behavioral patterns, from keystroke dynamics to device pressure sensitivity. This creates a personalized biometric signature that adapts in real-time, ensuring secure and dynamic authentication. But NeuraWallet is more than just a digital guardian; it's also a comprehensive financial hub. It categorizes expenses, organizes transaction histories, and provides real-time insights into your financial health. With a dedicated Business Manager subcategory, aspiring entrepreneurs like myself can efficiently oversee and manage their business finances. NeuraWallet, in essence, redefines the digital world by entwining security with personalization, ensuring that your digital interactions are not just protected but seamlessly integrated into the rhythm of your life.

How I built it

I spent a lot of time thinking about how to build a sophisticated app at the level I wanted, and knowing that I was aiming to submit my project to the HackBlue Cyber Hackathon, I decided to build a graphic prototype of it. I believed a small prototype would be necessary to gain enough attraction, and once that was completed, I could start implementing other background features. To build the graphics, I used a UI graphic program called UIzard, and I have initiated a Unity project where I aim to integrate core functionalities, such as face identification SDKs, authorization portals, and biometric analyzing algorithms.

Challenges I ran into

The challenges I ran into were far from technical! Most of the problems I faced with NeuraWallet were purely based on: "How can this app take off?" I did a lot of graphic design research on how to build an aesthetically pleasing software application, and how to build the UI to make it look good. I also ran into challenges with how to grow the app itself! In retrospect, I think it looks really good now that I'm done building the prototype graphic design! One of the main reasons I decided to submit NeuraWallet to the HackBlue Cyber Hackathon is because I believe that with the help and attention that this hackathon can provide, NeuraWallet can become successful!

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

As we're still in the prototype stage, I am very proud that I can showcase my efforts and progress through the HackBlue Cyber hackathon! I believe that taking the initiative is the hardest part of anything you do, whether it be something small or building a smart digital finance app like NeuraWallet! I hope that this app can grow to become something that can help people around the world keep their money safe as well as feel a sense of comfort, knowing that NeuraWallet uses state-of-the-art AI behavioral technology to make sure their finances are safe.

What I learned

Through working on NeuraWallet, I learned how to think critically and in the eyes of the user. I had to think outside of the box and understand what someone would want in a digital finance software app. I had to pretend that I had just heard about NeuraWallet and, using what I would want in a wallet app, built one myself!

What's next for NeuraWallet

What's next? I believe that with the help gained from the HackBlue Cyber hackathon, NeuraWallet can gain the essential attention and social traction it needs to propel itself higher. With this newfound attention, we will be able to turn our innovative digital wallet into a tool people can use to feel comfortable with digital transactions. I wish to leave an impact on society with NeuraWallet, and I hope people worldwide will see how essential my mission is to create a better world in cybersecurity.
