Inspiration

Scam messages often create urgency, impersonate trusted organisations, or promise unrealistic rewards. People need clear explanations of these warning signs and practical guidance on what to do next.

Project concept

NeuraOne CyberSaathi is a proposed AI-powered safety assistant for students, families, and everyday internet users. It aims to help people understand suspicious messages without requiring technical cybersecurity knowledge.

Planned features

  • Analyse text voluntarily provided by the user for common scam warning signs.
  • Explain suspicious claims, impersonation tactics, and requests for sensitive information.
  • Suggest independent verification steps.
  • Provide an actionable checklist for users who have already interacted with a suspicious message.
  • Explain uncertainty rather than guarantee that a message is safe or fraudulent.

Planned approach

The prototype will combine AI-assisted explanations with transparent checks for common scam patterns. It will not automatically open suspicious links or contact message senders.

Current status

The project scope and submission draft are prepared. Implementation, testing, source-code publication, and the demo video are pending.

Next steps

Build the prototype, evaluate it using synthetic scam and legitimate-message examples, document its limitations, and record a demonstration of the working application.
