Network Sniffer Using Python

Inspiration

My inspiration for building this project was to understand how data travels across a computer network and how network packets can be captured and analyzed. I wanted to explore computer networking concepts through a practical project rather than only studying the theory.

What I Learned

Through this project, I explored network packet analysis, IP addresses, network protocols, and how packet information helps us understand network communication. I also improved my Python programming and problem-solving skills.

How I Built It

I worked on developing a Network Sniffer using Python to capture and analyze network packet information. The project focuses on understanding packet details such as source and destination IP addresses, protocols, and packet sizes. Python networking libraries can help capture packets and process their information for analysis.

Challenges I Faced

One of the main challenges was understanding how packet capture works and how to access network traffic correctly. Setting up the development environment and learning the concepts behind packet analysis also required effort. Working through these challenges helped me improve my technical knowledge and approach problems step by step.

What's Next

I plan to improve the project by adding more packet analysis features, presenting captured data more clearly, and exploring ways to make network monitoring easier to understand.
