Inspiration

We were inspired by how stressful and difficult interview preparation can be for students and job seekers. Many people rely on static interview questions or videos, which do not provide realistic practice or personalized feedback. We wanted to create a smarter and more interactive way for users to practice interviews using AI.

What it does

Navo is an AI-powered interview coach that simulates realistic interview experiences.

Users can:

Enter their role, skills, and experience level
Start a live AI interview session
Answer role-specific technical and behavioral questions
Interact with the AI in a conversational format
Receive instant feedback and improvement suggestions

The platform helps users improve communication, confidence, and interview readiness through interactive practice.

How we built it

We built Navo using a modern web development stack integrated with AI technologies.

The system includes:

A responsive frontend for interview interaction
AI-powered conversational logic for generating adaptive interview questions
Prompt engineering for role-based and context-aware responses
Feedback generation system for evaluating answers and providing suggestions
Real-time interaction flow to create a natural interview experience

Challenges we ran into

One of the biggest challenges was making the AI conversation feel realistic and structured like an actual interview instead of a generic chatbot. Maintaining context during long interview sessions and generating relevant follow-up questions also required careful prompt design and testing.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud of creating an AI system capable of simulating personalized interview sessions in real time. Building a platform that combines conversational AI, adaptive questioning, and feedback generation into one experience was a major achievement.
