Neogreg – Engineering & Administrative Document Generator

Inspiration

The idea for Neogreg – a document generator – arose from my own experiences with technical work and documentation. Creating quotations, minutes, reports and other technical and administrative documents often takes a lot of time and involves repetitive tasks. I wanted to create a tool that would reduce the time spent on such administrative tasks and allow specialists to focus more on their technical work.

What it does

Neogreg is a generator that assists in the creation of technical and office documents. It enables users to prepare quotations, contracts, work reports, survey documentation and other technical documents using structured templates that can be edited to suit the user’s needs.

How we built it

I built the project by analyzing real documentation workflows and transforming them into a structured generation process. The system combines document templates, user inputs, and AI capabilities to create consistent and professional documents. The project was developed iteratively, improving the workflow based on practical use cases.

Challenges we ran into

The biggest challenge was creating a system that is flexible enough for different document types while maintaining accuracy and professional standards. Technical documentation requires precision, proper structure, and appropriate language, so automation had to be carefully designed.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

I am proud that Neogreg evolved from an idea into a working tool that solves a real professional problem. The project demonstrates how AI can support specialists by simplifying repetitive tasks and improving the quality and consistency of documentation.

What we learned

This project showed me that AI is most valuable when combined with practical domain knowledge. The best solutions are created by understanding real user problems and using technology to make everyday work easier and more efficient.

What's next for Neogreg – Engineering & Administrative Document Generator

The next step is to expand Neogreg into a modular platform for different technical industries. The electrical engineering module is the first part of a larger system. Future versions will include specialized modules for HVAC, plumbing, construction, and other technical fields, with industry-specific documents and AI assistance. The goal is to create a universal engineering documentation platform that helps professionals work faster and more efficiently.
