Inspiration

The rise of automated portfolio managers and the increasing amount of matched or higher returns seen by index fund over actively managed mutual funds.

What it does

A financial chatbot that interprets English (Natural Language Processing) and uses the intent and entities to get stock info, predict possible stock directions and recommending an optimized portfolio or suitable stocks for the user to buy based on their expected rate of return and risk profile.

How we built it

Hosted using Microsoft Azure and runs on Microsoft's LUIS (luis.ai) NLP service.

Challenges we ran into

Figuring out a focused path to completing the project which keeps the whole team involved and motivated.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Coding with a strong and fun team that constantly stepped forward and kept grinding!
