Inspiration
What inspired me to build this app is while I was scrolling through my Facebook newsfeed, I noticed friends and family were sharing businesses who were posting on their Facebook pages. I wanted to have that information available at at a centralized location where they can share their hours of operations.
What it does
The Proof of Concept App allows local businesses to create an account and update their business profile and hours of operations. Once their information is saved, users can search businesses based on a zip code.
How I built it
I built this web application using Vuejs and used indexedDb to store the data.
Challenges I ran into
Some of the challenges I faced while building this app was coming up with an original idea.

I built this app in one day.
What I learned
This pandemic is giving us the opportunity to develop new ideas on how we can continue to operate as a community.
What's next for Neighborhood Eats
If the app gains more interest, I will move from Proof of Concept to Production.
