Inspiration

Despite the growth of the technology industry, the gender pay gap remains a reality around the world. Many professional women do not have access to clear salary information or tools to negotiate their compensation with confidence. Our inspiration came from a simple question: What if artificial intelligence could help women understand their true professional value and negotiate with confidence? During this hackathon — driven by the She Builds initiative and the global Women Techmakers movement — a team of five women decided to build a solution to transform this reality.

This is how NegocIA+ was born, a platform designed to turn labor market data into confidence for negotiation.

Our objective is clear: to reduce the gender pay gap by providing transparency, actionable insights, and AI-powered negotiation training.

What it does

NegocIA+ is an AI-powered salary intelligence platform designed for women in technology.

The platform helps professionals discover their real value in the job market through three main components:

1) Professional value scanner

Analyzes experience, technical skills, technologies used, role, and location to estimate competitive salary ranges based on market data.

2) AI-generated personalized salary report

Generates a clear report that shows:

• estimated salary range

• potential salary gaps

• market insights

• recommendations for negotiation

3) AI negotiation simulator

A safe environment where users can practice salary conversations with an AI assistant, strengthening their confidence before negotiating with a real employer.

How we built it

We designed NegocIA+ as a simple but powerful experience that combines artificial intelligence, data analysis, and user-centered design.

The platform architecture follows a clear flow:

Landing → Salary scanner → AI personalized report → Negotiation simulator

The system:

• analyzes the user’s professional information

• compares profiles with labor market trends

• uses AI models to estimate salary ranges

• generates personalized recommendations

Our approach was to build an intuitive experience that transforms complex data into clear decisions.

The result is a tool that can be used in minutes but generate real impact on a person’s professional career.

Challenges we ran into

One of the biggest challenges was balancing advanced technology with a human and empowering experience.

Negotiating salary is one of the most difficult conversations in professional life. That is why we wanted the platform not only to provide data, but also confidence and guidance.

We also faced the challenge of:

• simplifying complex salary data

• turning it into understandable information

• designing a clear experience in a very short development time

In addition, as a team in a hackathon, we had to prioritize impact and functionality in limited time, focusing on the features with the greatest value for the user.

What we learned

During this process we learned that data transparency can be a powerful tool to reduce inequalities.

We also discovered that technology alone does not create impact; what truly transforms lives is combining technology with human-centered design.

NegocIA+ demonstrates that artificial intelligence can not only optimize business processes, but also create fairer opportunities in the labor market.

What's next for NegocIA+

Our vision is to turn NegocIA+ into the leading platform for salary intelligence and negotiation training for professionals in technology.

The next steps include:

• expanding the salary database to more countries and industries

• improving the AI negotiation simulator

• integrating career growth and skill development recommendations

• creating a support community for women in technology

Our final goal is ambitious but necessary:

to help millions of women understand their professional value and negotiate with confidence.

Because when a woman knows her worth,

she doesn’t just change her salary… she changes her professional trajectory.

Construimos este proyecto durante 48 horas en el hackathon global She Ships Hackathon, con el objetivo de abordar un problema real: la falta de transparencia salarial y herramientas de negociación para mujeres en tecnología.

Creemos que el salario es una de las decisiones financieras más importantes en la vida profesional. Por eso diseñamos NegocIA+ como una solución Fintech para el empoderamiento económico, impulsada por inteligencia artificial, que transforma datos del mercado laboral en herramientas prácticas para ayudar a las mujeres a conocer su valor y negociar con confianza.

A diferencia de los típicos salary checkers, NegocIA+ combina inteligencia salarial con entrenamiento de negociación mediante IA, creando una nueva categoría de herramienta enfocada en empoderamiento económico y desarrollo profesional.

Nuestro objetivo a largo plazo es escalar esta solución en Latinoamérica y otros mercados, ampliando los datos salariales, mejorando las simulaciones de negociación con IA y ayudando a millones de profesionales a tomar decisiones financieras más informadas sobre su carrera.
