Inspiration

As students looking for future job openings, sometime it is really frustrating to find the suitable jobs that can best use our skillsets and background. It is oftentime harder to find suggestion from other exployees since each career path is a little bit different. Therefore we thought it would be really helpful if there is a 24-7 agents that can customize and consult for what is our next step in the job market.

What it does

This chatbot agent utilizes the parsed user resume, preferences and external APIs to intelligently recommend suitable job openings for applicants.

How we built it

We utilize the AWS AI stack and cloud container services to implement the most of the backend logics and deployment. We wrap the interaction with this career consultant agent with the Next.js frontend system.

Challenges we ran into

It's actually really hard to use agentcore runtime. It litrerally took us 3-4 days to find where to find the built AgentCore runtime url so that we can use the backend to interact with the agent.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We were able to interact with LLM and have deep conversations about what we should do given our prefered job descriptinos, working styles and previous experience. We also felt the immediate help given that the agent can automatically find us matched jobs.

What we learned

We really got the chance to implement almost everything from scratch. It was also a great opportunity to implement the agentic system and incoporate the power of AI into our personal life.
