NebulaX: Electrifying the Future of NFT Video DEX

Inspiration

We envisioned NebulaX as a solution to empower creators to break free from centralized platforms that limit their monetization opportunities. Tired of unreliable systems and scam-ridden spaces, we wanted to build a transparent, decentralized ecosystem where creators could truly own their content and revenue.

What It Does

NebulaX is a video DEX NFT platform that lets creators connect their wallets, upload and mint their video and image content, and trade NFTs in a secure marketplace. To boost engagement, we’ve added gamified features like a daily spinning wheel that rewards users with NebX tokens and a raffle draw system to foster a vibrant, competitive community.

How We Built It

We’re building NebulaX on the Electroneum blockchain testnet—a Solidity and Vyper compatible chain. Using familiar tools like Remix, Truffle, and MetaMask, our development team rapidly prototyped smart contracts and deployed them on Electroneum. Our front-end is crafted with React and Tailwind CSS to ensure a responsive, mobile-friendly experience, while ThirdJS adds interactive web3 elements and dynamic visuals to enhance user engagement.

Challenges We Ran Into

Video Minting Bug: Our smart contract currently mints videos as images, which is a critical issue we’re actively addressing.
Spinning Wheel Rewards: The spinning wheel UI functions, but it does not yet display or award NebX tokens.
Raffle Draw Functionality: The raffle draw currently appears as a static table; the complete logic for automated raffle creation, ticket sales, and winner selection is still in development.

Accomplishments That We’re Proud Of

Successful wallet integration and NFT minting on the Electroneum testnet.
A robust, secure marketplace where buyers can reliably purchase NFTs.
A visually engaging, gamified UI that sets the stage for future improvements.

What We Learned

Developing NebulaX taught us the value of agility and cross-team collaboration. We gained deeper insights into blockchain development, smart contract security, and the importance of continuous user feedback in refining our product.

What’s Next for NebulaX

Our immediate focus is on fixing the video minting bug, integrating NebX token rewards into the spinning wheel, and enhancing the raffle draw functionality. Looking ahead, we plan to launch a mobile-responsive website and a dedicated mobile app for iOS and Android, release a beta for early user feedback next year, and ultimately empower millions of content creators globally by 2027 through strategic partnerships and a robust community ecosystem.
