InspirationThe inspiration for NEBULA came from a simple thought: why should exploring space be limited to looking at pictures and reading information?
I have always been fascinated by the Solar System and wanted to turn that curiosity into an interactive experience. While learning web development, I discovered the possibilities of 3D websites with Three.js, and I thought, “What if I could bring the planets into the browser and let people explore them?”
That idea became NEBULA.
I wanted to create something that feels less like a traditional educational website and more like a small journey through space. Instead of presenting planets as static images, NEBULA uses a 3D environment to make users feel like they are actually exploring the Solar System.
Building it also challenged me to step outside my comfort zone. I had to learn how 3D scenes, cameras, lighting, textures, and React components work together. Many things didn't work on the first try, but every problem helped me understand 3D web development better.
NEBULA was inspired by curiosity, a love for space, and the desire to turn learning into an experience rather than just information.
