Inspiration

The idea was inspired by the growing popularity of AI agents and automated DeFi services. We saw that most projects focus on automating DeFi transactions, but they lack engagement and personal user interaction. To stand out, we wanted to add a unique gamified experience by integrating chatbot-like agent bots that evolve and grow as users interact with them. This creates a more engaging, educational, and fun experience while managing DeFi portfolios.

What it does

Our project provides users with an AI-powered agent bot that automates and manages their DeFi transactions (such as swaps, staking, and bridging) while also allowing them to engage with the bot through conversations. As users interact with the bot, it gains experience points (XP) from both transactions and chats, and the bot evolves into a more advanced, personalized asset manager. Additionally, users can learn about DeFi and grow their portfolios in a gamified environment, with each bot having its own unique growth path. The integration of NFT-based characters allows for customization and ownership, adding a layer of uniqueness to the experience.

How we built it

Bitte Wallet:

  • We utilized the Bitte Wallet to enable secure user authentication and transaction capabilities within our React application. By integrating the Bitte Wallet, users can seamlessly log in and execute transactions within the NEAR Protocol ecosystem.

Proximity:

  • We integrated NEAR Intents into our application by utilizing the NEAR Intents smart contract (intents.near) and the solver network to determine optimal execution paths for cross-chain swaps. This setup allows users to perform cross-chain swaps efficiently, with the NEAR Intents contract fulfilling requests and utilizing cross-chain bridges as needed to settle intents across different chains.

Questflow:

  • We integrated Questflow into our chat interface, enabling users to interact with AI-driven agents for tasks such as strategic trading, airdrops, and data analysis. By leveraging the Questflow developer platform and NEAR SDK, we created user-friendly tools and agents that can be operated directly through the chat interface, enhancing the overall user experience.

Challenges we ran into

Our main challenge was the development of the idea itself within the time frame we had. We didn't give up and did our best, each one of the team members, even though we didn't have a Front-end developer. So three days prior to the deadline, our product manager came up with an innovative idea of using AI to turn the UI design into code so our Back-end developer can work on it. Even though the code generated by AI was not very similar to the UI, but it fixed our issue to a great extent. After that, our back-end developer set up the code and continued his work on the back-end. The end result is what we could have considering the limitations.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

  1. Developing an AI Agent-Based Chatbot
    • We built an interactive character-based chatbot that evolves and grows through user interactions rather than just providing simple text responses.
  2. Integrating Web3 Transactions with Gamification
    • Our chatbot enables swaps, bridges, and token purchases while incorporating gamification elements to reward users with experience points that help their chatbot character evolve.
  3. Dashboard & Transaction History Tracking
    • We developed a dashboard where users can track their quests, transaction history, and experience growth, making their Web3 interactions more transparent and engaging.

What we learned

  1. The Potential of AI and Web3 Integration
    • We discovered that AI chatbots can be more than just information providers; they can be interactive agents that enhance users’ Web3 experiences.
  2. The Importance of User Experience (UX)
    • We learned that simply providing Web3 transaction features isn’t enough—integrating gamification elements makes the experience more engaging and enjoyable for users.
  3. The Need for Web3 Onboarding
    • We realized that many users are still unfamiliar with Web3, highlighting the need for a more intuitive onboarding process and educational resources.

What's next for Nero

  • Launch of Chatbot Widget – We will release the Chrome Extension Widget and Mobile Widget, making the AI agent bot accessible to users across platforms.
  • NFT Character Launch – The release of 12,000 chatbot character NFTs will allow users to personalize their bots and unlock premium features.
  • DeFi Learning v2.0 – We are planning to improve our AI agent's learning capabilities, enabling it to analyze and execute more complex DeFi strategies.
  • Expanding Partnerships – We aim to partner with more DeFi protocols and wallet providers to enhance the agent's capabilities and ensure cross-chain support.
  • Community & Engagement Growth – We plan to further gamify the experience with additional quests, rewards, and social features to boost user retention and expand the platform's user base.
