Inspiration

NEAROGRAM is a social media application powered by NEAR blockchain, which helps the creators to make their creations as nfts. NFT market place feature was developed and integrated into NEAROGRAM as part of powertofly hackathon Apr22 NEAROGRAM nft marketplace feature done on PowerToFly Apr 2022. We want to scale this with a feature that could support the world's need so we developed and integrated crowdfunding feature into our application as part of this hackathon.

What it does

NEARGRAM is absolutely feature-filled. It has the fundamental features one might expect of a social media platform with the Web 3.0 edge. Below is an extensive list of how NEARGRAM seeks to serve to the end-user:

NFT-market place(existing feature)

  1. Enables users to express their thoughts in an intuitive feed page.
  2. Populates user feed based on topics liked by the user.
  3. Allows the creator to mint, sell and buy nfts, that are etched on the near blockchain.
  4. Allows users to set price and put nft for sale.
  5. Allows the user to withdraw their earnings in the market to their connected near-wallet.
  6. Allows the user to view their and others nft collection.

Crowdfunding(implemented as part of this hackathon)

  1. Allows the users to create crowdfunding projects.
  2. Allows the users to contribute to crowdfunding projects.
  3. Allows the user to see the list of contributions to their crowdfunding projects and amount raised.
  4. Allows the user to withdraw the contributions from their crowdfunding projects to their connected wallet.

How we built it

  1. Developed NEAR smart contract using rust for crowdfunding tested their functionalities using unit tests and deployed in the test network.
  2. We made the React frontend to communicate with the deployed smart contract and tested every component is working fine.

Challenges we ran into

Building smart contract for crowdfunding using rust , test, deploying in near testnet and integrating with UI's near wallet.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

  1. We broadened our horizons on Web 3.0 technologies with NEAR.
  2. We integrated crowdfunds so that it could serve the world needs.

What we learned

  1. Now we have the intermediate knowledge in blockchains, smart contracts etc.

What's next for NEAROGRAM

  1. Make the platform mobile responsive.
  2. Will include exciting features.
