What TWS is

Since COVID-19 has a long incubation period, the key to breaking the current epidemic prevention dilemma is，how to accurately identify the COVID-19 patients and their close contacts. COVID-19 Transmission route and early Warning System (TWS) automatically records contact objects by sensing environmental data, and establishes a time-series recording library of person-to-person, person-to-thing contacts, accurately identifies people who are close contacts, traces the virus's transmission route, and blocks the virus from secondary spreading, effectively preventing Control the epidemic.

At present, based on the research on Multi-source Ranging, High Dynamic Graph Computing and other technologies, our team has completed the development of follows:

mobile phone app (named "TWS App", or "全民防疫 App") for Android and iOS
dedicated hardware
TWS big data and operation platform.

Currenty，the total number of installed TWS App is 1499, and TWS has perceived 180220 devices.

What TWS can do

After installing, TWS App can sense the environmental data and automatically record the person-to-person, person-to-pet and person-to-facility contact within 20 meters in real-time.
When a user is diagnosed, TWS can trace the patient's contact records within the past 14 days, accurately locate close contacts, pets, facilities, and high-risk persons, and help to take corresponding preventive measures.
In TWS App, users can view their personal moving tracks and contact records within the past 14 days, check if they had contact with high-risk objects, and self-assess their health status.
TWS supports Real-time Warning. When there are high-risk persons, pets, and facilities within 50 meters, the App will promptly issue an alert to remind users to stay away from dangerous sources.
TWS uses AI, graph computing, and other technologies to track the virus transmission route and achieve precise epidemic prevention.
It can assist the government in formulating epidemic prevention measures, restricting people's movements by regions, to ensure the regular operation of society.

What's next for TWS

To further protect user privacy, we are planning to apply Homomorphic Encryption to TWS.
However, whether TWS plays a critical role depends on having enough user support. We hope that everyone could install TWS App to protect ourselves, and work together to stop the spreading of COVID-19.
