ncov2019heroes.live - Donation Tracking & Incentivizing App

An open-source and crowdsourced website that tracks the donations done by your local civic groups and presents them in a way that incentivizes more people to donate.

It would be similar to bailout.nyc (can be a fork of it) but shows total donations for each group, viewable in a sortable table format like ncov2019.live. Table entries should link to the groups' donation pages. I believe if people see these groups in a leaderboard format and see the numbers going up, it will add that little bit of incentive to get them to donate. This can be the MVP but we can add in more features to further incentivize donations (featured civic group, community goals, etc).

Here in the Philippines these groups present the numbers in infographicshared on Facebook (attached example in gallery). The groups also usually don't have the tech know-how to pub/sub to an API, so to start with data can be entered into the tables manually.

Also, we don't have an easy way to transfer money like Venmo, and donations are usually done via bank-to-bank transfers. There's a lot of friction that can be removed in this process, and eventually I would love to be able to find a solution to allow donors to easily send money to their target institutions in the least steps possible.
