The application of machine learning has played a significant role in sports analytics especially in the NBA. In this project, three different models are used to predict NBA outcomes which can be either win or loss. The logistic regression model and support vector machine model predict the outcomes based on what percentage of shooting, the number of rebounds, the number of assists and etc that a winning team usually has. The decision tree model predicts the outcomes based on each team’s previous performance.
