Inspiration

As restrictions were lifted within the City of Toronto. We, the founders of NaviPath, learned that exploring the city and experiencing the outdoors had substantial positive implications on overall well being. We wanted to bring this level of accessibility to locals who want to rediscover and explore locations which are not heavily advertised or popular but provide the same level of adventure during a small window within their now heavily packed schedules.

What it does

Our platform allows the user to choose a city they wish to explore, choose a time frame they are available and preferences for where they want to explore (ex. Naure/Park, Museum).

How we built it

Our skeleton for the platform was created using Python, and we attempted to create design mock-ups of how the user interface will look like to within a design software.

Challenges we ran into

Understanding the Co:here API with our limited experience within programming was a primary challenge we ran into. However, with the help of mentors and the resources provided by UofT Hacks we managed to overcome any difficulties we had.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We learned how to not only use but implement an NLP that we were not introduced to prior to the Hackathon.

What's next for NaviPath

Expansion to other cities. User-feedback integration. More social aspect of platform. Including further customization of preferences.
