Coming from a non-tech background myself, I can relate to the overwhelming feeling of joining the tech industry. It's like being a kid trying to use a calculator without knowing basic math operations. I often found myself unsure of what to search for or where to begin when seeking career guidance and professional development resources.

What Navicrafters Does

Navicrafters is a powerful tool designed to assist individuals, including ourselves, in charting their career trajectories and accessing tailored support for professional growth, particularly emphasizing women in STEM fields. The AI agent at the heart of Navicrafters draws its data from highly reliable sources, such as government databases, ensuring accurate and trustworthy information. This is particularly beneficial for young people who may lack exposure to various career options, as Navicrafters bridges that gap by providing comprehensive career information and tailored development guidance.

How we built it

We created different agents, tools, and data stores. Some data stores were based on cloud storage, while others relied on APIs.

Challenges we ran into

Initially, we faced challenges due to our unfamiliarity with Google AI agents. It took time and effort to fully understand and explore the tool's functionalities. Additionally, for data storage, we couldn't rely on external websites and had to own the data sources, which required careful curation and management.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We take great pride in creating a functional AI-powered bot through Navicrafters. While it's still a work in progress, we believe that with continued training and customization, the tool will become even more efficient and impactful in guiding individuals like us on their career journeys.
